Important Notes
If you are behind a firewall you will need to change the following settings.First make sure you allow TCP ports 1720 out and ports UDP/20000-20005 back in through your firewall.
You must also make sure that you set up a NAT translation for UDP ports 20000-20005 to your inside private IP address.If you are unsure how to do this please follow your manufacturers’ instructions for your firewall.
You can use the VIP to connect to any other gateway, alternatively you can connect to Via~fon and call any telephone in the world at reduced cost.
Get started right away by calling free phone 0800 984 0111 or from outside UK on +44 (0)151 6474775 registering for minutes, and a security PIN, these minutes can be used as required.
You can enter your PIN in the settings form (located on the menu bar left hand side, roll mouse over icon) of the VIP software, this saves you having to re-enter the PIN each time you use VIP.
Tell your friends about the VIP system and call them on their PC free, just enter their IP address instead of phone number.
Once you have registered with Via~fon you will see a new button on the dialler form, each time you want to make a call to another telephone just press the button and enter the telephone number required. If your account is in credit the call will connect after you have been given your remaining balance.
